Frequently asked questions

How do I find what colors a website uses?
Paste the website URL into our color extractor and click "Extract." The tool scans the page's HTML and CSS - including linked stylesheets - and returns every color it finds as HEX, RGB, and HSL values, sorted by how often each color appears.
Can I extract colors without installing a browser extension?
Yes. This tool runs entirely in the browser - just paste a URL and get results. No extension, no sign-up, no downloads required.
What color formats are supported?
Every extracted color is shown in three formats: HEX (e.g. #1a73e8), RGB (e.g. rgb(26, 115, 232)), and HSL (e.g. hsl(217, 80%, 51%)). You can copy any format with one click.
Why are some colors missing from the results?
The tool extracts colors from static HTML and CSS. Colors generated dynamically by JavaScript after page load, or colors inside images and videos, won't be detected. Colors like pure black (#000000) and white (#ffffff) are filtered out to keep the palette meaningful.
Can I download the full color palette?
Yes. Click the "Download palette" button above the color grid to get a text file with every color in HEX, RGB, and HSL formats.
