Frequently asked questions

How do I find out what font a website is using?
Paste the website URL into our font identifier and click "Identify." The tool scans Google Fonts links, @font-face declarations, and CSS font-family rules to detect every font on the page - including weights, styles, and whether it's from Google Fonts, Adobe Fonts, or self-hosted.
Can I identify fonts without a browser extension?
Yes. This tool works entirely online - paste a URL and get results instantly. No extension, no sign-up, no screenshots needed.
Does it detect Google Fonts and Adobe Fonts?
Yes. The tool specifically checks for Google Fonts stylesheet links and Adobe Typekit references, and labels each font with its source. Google Fonts results include a direct link to the font specimen page.
Why doesn't the preview text look right?
The preview uses your browser's locally available fonts. If a detected font isn't installed on your device or loaded via Google Fonts, the preview will fall back to a default sans-serif. The detection itself is still accurate - it reads what the website loads, not what's on your machine.
Can I copy the CSS font-family declaration?
Yes. Click "Copy CSS" on any font card to copy the full font-family declaration (e.g. font-family: 'Inter', sans-serif;) to your clipboard.
