Take a screenshot

Drag over part of a page, or press Enter for everything on screen. The screenshot is saved to your folder and copied at the same time.

Where to click ToolbarScreenshot (camera)
Drag an area, and it is saved and copied.

Steps

  1. 1

Click Screenshot (the camera) in the toolbar, or press S.

  2. 2

A bar appears at the top of the page: Drag an area · Capture visible page ↵.

  3. 3

Press and hold, then drag over the area you want. A size label follows you. Let go to capture.

  4. 4

Or press Enter (or click Capture visible page) to capture everything on screen.

  5. 5

A Saved and copied message appears. Paste it anywhere with Ctrl+V (⌘V on a Mac): Slack, Figma, a document.

What you get

  • A screenshot in your folder, already on your clipboard.
  • An editor for arrows, boxes, text, drawing and cropping.

After you capture

  • Click Edit on the message (or Edit screenshot when you open it) to open the editor in a new tab: arrow, labelled box, text, freehand, crop, undo.
  • Open the screenshot and click Colors to save its main colors into the same folder.
  • Copy puts it on the clipboard again. Download saves it as a file.

Use your own screenshot tool

Took a screenshot some other way? Open a folder and click Paste in its header, or press Ctrl+V while the folder is open. The image is saved into that folder.

Tips

  • Tools open in the folder you were last in, so you never have to pick one first. The very first time, with no folder yet, PocketUI asks you to create one.
  • Links and buttons on the page do not react while the screenshot tool is on, so dragging never clicks anything by accident.
  • Press Esc at any time to cancel a tool. The toolbar stays where it is.
