Troubleshooting and FAQ
The quick fixes for the things people run into most.
The toolbar does not appear
- Refresh the page, then click the PocketUI icon again. Tabs opened before you installed or updated PocketUI sometimes need it.
- Chrome does not allow extensions on its own pages (new tab, settings, the Chrome Web Store). Open a normal website.
- Not signed in? The icon opens the sign-in card first. See Sign in.
A shortcut does nothing
- Shortcuts only work while the toolbar is open.
- They are ignored while you type in a box, and while another tool is running. Press Esc first.
- Shortcuts ignore Ctrl, ⌘ and Alt, so Ctrl+C still copies.
Where did my save go?
Tools open in the folder you were last in, so you never have to pick one first. The very first time, with no folder yet, PocketUI asks you to create one. Not sure which folder that was? Use the search.
My Tailwind code looks unstyled
Tailwind code needs a project that uses Tailwind. Use Download instead: the downloaded Tailwind file works on its own. Or pick HTML, which carries its own styles.
Nothing pastes in Figma
Wait for the Copied to Figma message before switching to Figma, and click the canvas before pressing Ctrl+V. Copying something else in between replaces it.
Nothing pastes in Elementor
- Use right-click → Paste on the + drop area, not Ctrl+V on the canvas.
- Elementor open in a different browser? Use right-click → Paste from other site, then Ctrl+V while that box is open. It needs Elementor 3.11+ and does not work in Safari.
- Or use Download and Import Templates. See Export to Elementor.
Shopify will not save my section
When Shopify creates a new section it fills it with its own code. Select all of it and delete it before you paste. See Export to Shopify.
I hit a limit
